The Philippine real estate market is expanding beyond Metro Manila, with Visayas and Mindanao emerging as key areas for residential, commercial, and hospitality growth.
This was the key insight from industry leaders at the Asia Connect: Cebu event, marking the launch of the 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards in the VisMin region.
The highly anticipated awards program, which sets the Gold Standard in Asia’s real estate sector, is part of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series, now celebrating its 20th edition in 2025.
Organized by PropertyGuru Group, Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, the awards continue to highlight excellence across 15 dynamic markets in the region.
At the launch event held recently at Fili Hotel NUSTAR Cebu, developers and real estate experts shared insights on the urbanizing, untapped, and underrepresented real estate markets in the Philippines.
The event also unveiled the timeline for the 2025 Property Awards: June 6, 2025 - Entries Close; June 23-July 11, 2025 - Site Inspections; July 14, 2025 - Final Judging; August 15, 2025 - Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony in Manila; Philippines December 12, 2025 - Regional Grand Final Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Asia Connect: Cebu forum underscored the increasing competitiveness of Visayas and Mindanao as viable alternatives to Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao. With a strong focus on suburban and landed developments, these regions are witnessing heightened investor interest, fueled by key government initiatives.
