Sixteen policemen as well as their police chief have been removed from their posts after photos of them drinking alcohol in the Dolores Municipal Police Station in Eastern Samar came out online.

The policemen were celebrating their Christmas party last Monday around 6 P.M. when the photos were taken, but their superior said this was no excuse for their actions, as the Philippine National Police strictly prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages inside police stations or within police premises, even during special occasions.
Eastern Samar Provincial Police Office provincial director Police Col. Ernesto Macasil said the relief order took effect last Wednesday after an investigation by the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit.
