The security situation in the Philippines is improving, Malacañang said on Friday.
-
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro gave the assurance after China warned its citizens who are planning to study in the Philippines.
In its study abroad alert, China’s Ministry of Education said the Philippines has been “in a state of insecurity” recently, citing the “many crimes against Chinese citizens.”
The ministry also reminded majority of overseas Chinese students “to do a good job of safety risk assessment and enhance their awareness of prevention when they choose to study in the Philippines in the near future.”
Responding to China’s study abroad alert, Castro said crime rates in the Philippines continue to decline under the watch of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
