PNP chief visits Cebu for poll prep confab

The chief of Philippine National Police, Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil, visited the Police Regional Office-7 the other day to lead a command conference to assess and strengthen security preparations for the upcoming 2025 midterm national and local elections.

Marbil and his delegation arrived at Camp Lapu-Lapu, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City and were welcomed by key officials of PRO-7.
During the conference, his first command engagement with PRO-7 under his term, PRO-7 regional director Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan presented the accomplishments of the regional office from January to April 30, 2025, highlighting notable gains in crime prevention, operations, and community-based policing initiatives.
Maranan said that the visit of Marbil is a strong reminder of their shared responsibility in delivering honest, peaceful, and credible elections.
