Over 30 schools conduct quake drill

More than 30 public elementary and secondary schools in Cebu City participated in a series of earthquake drills organized by the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO) to enhance disaster awareness and emergency preparedness among students, teachers, and school personnel.
The earthquake drills were conducted from June 9 to June 11, 2026, following the magnitude 7.8 offshore earthquake that struck Sarangani on the early morning of June 8, 2026. The initiative aimed to reinforce the importance of preparedness and proper emergency response procedures in schools.
