LTO Tracker to go nationwide soon

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is gearing up for the nationwide implementation of motorist's licenses and plate tracker following positive response in its pilot testing.

For over a decade, LTO has been plagued with backlog on motorcycle and four-wheel vehicle license plates due to various factors.
In 2023, LTO also faced a driver's license card problem which forced the agency to print the driver’s license on paper to cover the shortage of plastic cards.
Currently, LTO said that there is now a sufficient supply of plastic cards, but a significant number of motorists have yet to have their driver’s license printed on plastic cards and claim them.
This, along with the backlog on license plates, led to the conceptualization and successful development of LTO Tracker (www.ltotracker.com).
The LTO Tracker is expected to provide access to the agency clients to track the status of their driver’s licenses and motor vehicle plates in real time and even have them delivered straight to their doorstep through an accredited courier service provider.
