Groups stage noise barrage vs corruption

The Cebu Citizen Anti-Corruption Watch staged a noise barrage in Cebu City, urging Cebuanos to unite against corruption and calling for the resignation of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Organizers Jun Abines and Jimboy Tiongko reported that about 200 motorcycle riders and around 100 four-wheeled vehicles joined the caravan, which made stops at several locations, including the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) offices, Ma. Luisa Subdivision, and the Fuente Osmeña rotunda.
The group, which later converged at Plaza Independencia, expressed outrage over alleged anomalies in government flood control projects and continued to demand the resignation of both officials, whom they tagged as culprits behind the controversy.
Meanwhile, the Panaghiusa sa Yanong Sugbuanon Batok sa Korapsyon (PAYONG) held a separate rally demanding a deeper probe into what they described as systemic corruption in the country’s flood control projects.
