Garcia tells CCPO to sustain visibility during Holy Week
The Freeman
|April 12, 2025
Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia expressed satisfaction with the performance of the police force, and he hoped that it would be sustained, especially in the coming observance of Holy Week.
-
“Very much satisfied because sa ilang report nako. Makita gyud nato nga ni-decrease ang crime (rate) here in city of Cebu and ni-increase ang crime efficiency when they solve problems. Ang crimes nasulbad dayon nila,” Garcia said after attending the Cebu City Police Office’s (CCPO) command conference last Thursday.
Garcia reassured the city’s support to the CCPO.
Earlier, the city government donated a patrol car, firearms and ammunition to the CCPO. The city also announced it would push through with the construction of a new city police force headquarters.
Garcia said he is happy with the CCPO's sustained police visibility, which is seen as an effective crime deterrent.
