The Chinese Consul General in its latest briefing to members of the Cebu press at Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City, highlighted China's significant economic growth in the first half of 2025, boasting a 5.3 percent year-on-year GDP increase driven by strong industrial output, a thriving services sector, and record-breaking exports.
These positive economic indicators suggest a promising outlook for foreign investment and tourism, bolstering confidence in the potential for increased Chinese investment and visitor arrivals in the Philippines.
Consul General Zhang disclosed discussing with Mayor Nestor Archival during her visit at the City Hall the potential for enhancing the sister city relationship between Xiamen and Cebu City.
