DOLE-7 starts TUPAD payout to 236 workers

Following their deployment for emergency cleanup operations in the aftermath of Typhoon Tino, a total of 236 workers from the Cebu People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Amare Shell in Mandaue City received their wages under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged-Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

The beneficiaries were mobilized to clear debris, remove obstructions, and help rehabilitate facilities and communities heavily affected by the typhoon. Their efforts significantly contributed to the quick restoration of operations in various organizations and neighborhoods.

The payout was facilitated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-7 Tri-City Field Office under the leadership of Regional Director Atty. Roy L. Buenafe, reaffirming the Department’s commitment to supporting displaced workers and boosting community resilience through emergency employment.
