DepEd-7 joins observance of National Teachers' Month

The Department of Education in Central Visayas (DepEd-7) formally opened the regional observance of National Teachers' Month on Monday (September 8) at the Science and Technology Education Center in Barangay Basak, Cebu City.

National Teachers' Month, celebrated nationwide from September 5 to October 5, recognizes the teachers' vital role in shaping learners' knowledge, character, and values.
This year's celebration bears the theme: "My Teacher, My Hero - Gurong Pilipino: Gabay sa Aral, Kaagapay sa Kinabukasan."
DepEd-7 Regional Director Salustiano Jimenez said the event emphasizes the department's commitment to honoring the hard work and dedication of Filipino teachers.
"We honor our teachers, we recognize their efforts and all their hardships, the difficulties, the challenges they experience because of their love for children, and with that, kinahanglan g'yud ato g'yud sila'ng i-recognize," Jimenez said.
