Cop nabbed in buy-bust

A police officer was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by multiple law enforcement units in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

The joint operation involved personnel from the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-7, Regional Special Project Unit-7, Police Stations 6 and 11 of the Cebu City Police Office, PDEG SOU-7, RID-7, the CDEU/CIU of the Mandaue City Police Office, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7.
The suspect, identified by the alias "Mr. Nice," is a 33-year-old resident of Barangay San Vicente, Liloan town. He is currently assigned to the Mandaue City Police Office.
Authorities seized from the suspect two medium and two small sachets of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of over P400,000, along with other drug paraphernalia.
