City creates office that helps graduates find jobs

Graduates will soon find job hunting easier with the establishment of a Job Placement Office (JPO) that will provide structured access to internships, career guidance, and employment opportunities right after graduation.
The initiative was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the University of the Philippines Cebu, the Department of Labor and Employment Region VII, and the Cebu City Government, signed on November 20, 2025.
The partnership establishes a framework for coordinated employment facilitation programs, wider dissemination of labor market information, and comprehensive job placement services, while supporting inclusive and sustainable career pathways for the youth sector.
Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival has noted that the MOA signing marks a spark for greater opportunities.
