Chioson Group renews RE partnership with First Gen

Cebu-based industrial and property conglomerate Chioson Group of Companies and FLB Prime Holdings, Inc. has renewed its partnership with First Gen Corporation, the country's renewable energy producer, to continue sourcing geothermal power for its operations in the Visayas.
Under the renewed agreement signed on April 30, 205, First Gen will supply 2.1 megawatts (MW) of electricity to Chioson Group's manufacturing and commercial facilities in Cebu, including its steel plants in Mandaue City and its corporate headquarters at the FLB Corporate Center in Cebu City.
The power will be sourced from the geothermal plants of First Gen subsidiary Energy Development Corporation (EDC) located in Kananga and Ormoc City in Leyte.
EDC is the Philippines' largest geothermal energy producer and accounts for approximately 60 percent of the country's installed geothermal capacity.
