The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Lapu-Lapu has begun laying down the implementing rules and guidelines for the city's Purok-Based Solid Waste Management System, following a coordination meeting with members of the City Council and legal officers.

CENRO officials met with Councilors Rufo Bering, Annabeth Cuizon, and Emilio Galaroza, along with representatives from the City Legal Office and lawyer Ben Cabrido Jr., to discuss the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of City Ordinance No. 17-016-2025.

The ordinance institutionalizes a localized approach to solid waste management at the purok level.

The meeting, held at the CENRO conference room, focused on operational details to ensure consistent enforcement of the ordinance once fully implemented.
