CBRT inauguration pushed back by storm

The inauguration of the long-awaited Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) is being pushed back anew, this time due to Typhoon Tino.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. who was earlier reported to lead the inaugural is still expected to attend the rescheduled ceremony on November 7.
Prior to the latest schedule, the ceremony was rescheduled for November 5 but was moved following advisories from the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and national agencies monitoring the typhoon’s impact.
“We were informed by the DOTr nga kabantay ang Manila nga naay problema sa November 5, so it was moved to November 7. That’s the latest. By Wednesday or Thursday, we expect to be fully prepared. Ug naay madaot, ready na ta pag-cure ana,” Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival said in yesterday’s press briefing.
