The Cebu Provincial Government is studying the possible conversion of the Larsian food strip into a public-private partnership (PPP) project as part of Capitol efforts to upgrade and modernize the popular dining hub in the uptown area.
Paulo Uy, head of the Cebu Provincial Investment and Promotions Office (CPIPO), said the province has received a letter of intent (LOI) from a private proponent interested in developing and managing the Capitol-run food strip under a PPP arrangement.
Uy said discussions remain nain in the early stages, with no design proposal submitted yet.
"There is no design yet submitted, but we already advised those who sent us the LOI to show us what they want to do for Larsian, para ma-review nato," Uy said.
He stressed that any redevelopment plan must preserve Larsian's identity and original concept.
