The hospital—formerly Cebu Velez General Hospital, a Cebu medical fixture for more than 70 years—has undergone months of modernization, systems upgrades, and operational integration as it formally joins the Healthway Medical Network (HMN).

The move signals Ayala Group’s intent to accelerate investment in hospital infrastructure, specialty care, and digital health solutions outside Metro Manila.

AC Health Chairman Fernando Zobel de Ayala who personally graced the event, said the rebranding reinforces the conglomerate’s long-term commitment to transforming Philippine healthcare and elevating service delivery in key regional hubs.
