Last week had quite a number of stories involving dogs.

Most of us probably saw online how Ei Mei Lee Maningo prioritized saving her dogs before leaving a burning building in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City. We saw the heart-stopping video where she tosses the dogs to people waiting below before she makes her escape just as fire consumes the floor she was trapped in.

But she wasn’t the only one to rescue dogs during a fire last week.

In Barangay North Fairview, Quezon City, Ryan Solano was also praised for choosing his pooch over his possessions. He said he would rather lose material possessions than a loyal companion through good times and bad.
