West Jamshedpur assembly constituency in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district is set to witness intense electoral battle between old rivals Congress's Banna Gupta and JD (U)'s Saryu Rai as the seat would go to the polls in the first phase of assembly election, scheduled on November 13.
West Jamshedpur assembly constituency in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district is set to witness intense electoral battle between old rivals Congress's Banna Gupta and JD (U)'s Saryu Rai as the seat would go to the polls in the first phase of assembly election, scheduled on November 13.
The constituency also has 32 candidates. It is also home to some prominent business houses of the country like Tata Motors and Tata Steel. Jamshedpur was founded by legendary industrialist JN Tata.
PAST PERFECT
Both Gupta and Rai have shared two victories each ever since the first assembly election was held in Jharkhand in 2005.
