CHAMPIONS | Tilak Varma stars with superb 69 as India win by five wickets

Tilak Varma's sensational halfcentury and Shivam Dube's timely knock of 33 powered India to a thrilling five-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup final at the Dubai International Stadium, on Sunday.
Cricket Chasing 147 for victory, Varma slammed 69 studded with three fours and four sixes to remain unbeaten as India romped home at 150/5 in 19.4 overs to lift their ninth Asia Cup crown.
India at one stage were under the pump at 36/3 in six overs having lost the key wickets of the marauding Abhishek Sharma, skipper Suryakumar Yadav Shubman Gill.
The in-form Abhishek was sent packing by Faheem Ashraf in the second over while Suryakumar was out to Shaheen Shah Afridi after a brilliant catch by Salman Ali Agha in the third over as India were in a spot of bother in the high-pressure final.
