Sania Mirza is into her final Grand Slam for the last time in her career. Alongside compatriot Rohan Bopanna, she reached the final of the mixed doubles at the Australian Open.
At the Margaret Court Arena here on Wednesday, the duo earned a hard fought two set and super tie-breaker against the third-seeded pairing of England's Neal Skupski and United States' Desirae Krawczyk 7-6 (4), 6-7 (5), (10-6), which lasted for one hour and 52 minutes.
Unseeded Sania and Bopanna showed steely resolve to serve out a first set, and win it in a nervy tiebreaker. It was well into the second set, one full of twists and turns, when the nerves were on show.
