Andhra Pradesh has witnessed about 79 per cent polling till midnight on Monday, in the fourth phase of general elections for 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies. People stood in long queues, waited for hours to cast their votes as if they were voting with vengeance.
RECORD POLLING IN AP

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), AP, Mukhesh Kumar Meena said that the state witnessed 'massive polling'. The total voting percentage in the state is likely to cross 79 per cent voter turnout recorded in the previous elections in 2019.

Out of the 175 Assembly constituencies, the Dharmavaram constituency in Sri Sathya Sai district has recorded the highest voter turnout with 88. 61 percent, followed by Ungutur constituency in Eluru district with 87.75 percent.

Constituencies, from where party chiefs Jagan, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan (JSP) contested also recorded over 80 percent voter turnout. Pulivendula in YSR Kadapa, Kuppam in Chittoor and Pithapuram in Kakinada have recorded 81.06, 85.87 and 81.45 percent voter turnouts respectively.
