The Free Press Journal
|February 05, 2026
The Congress on Wednesday accused the BJP government of being directly responsible for the deaths linked to contaminated drinking water in the city.
Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate claimed that at least 32 people have died after consuming contaminated water in different parts of the city, with Bhagirathpura emerging as the epicentre of the tragedy. Addressing a press conference at the Indore Press Club, she said the deaths were not an accident but a complete failure of the government and the system.
