Raghopur constituency, considered a Lalu family bastion, will go to polls in the first phase of Bihar assembly election, scheduled on November 6.

- DHEERAJ KUMAR

The constituency is presently represented by RJD chief Lalu Prasad's younger son Tejashwi Yadav in the assembly.

The seat assumes special significance as Tejashwi is considered the “CM face” of INDIA Bloc, although no official announcement has been made so far!

Raghopur, which falls in Vaishali district and is only 30 km away from Patna, was in news recently. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on June 23 had inaugurated a six-lane bridge over river Ganga, connecting Patna with Raghopur Diara region, seen as a plan to woo voters of the constituency.
