Uncharted global policies threaten 2026 stability, yet domestic economy shows enduring economic strength; fincl architecture remains firm
The outlook for 2026 and beyond is marked by heightened uncertainty as global economic policies remain fluid, uneven and largely untested, Reserve Bank Governor Sanjay Malhotra has cautioned.
Speaking in the central bank's latest Financial Stability Report released on Wednesday, Malhotra said the global economy continues to navigate an unsettled phase following a challenging 2025, weighed down by geopolitical conflicts, trade tensions and persistent policy ambiguity.
