The office of Rahul Mamkootathil, the Congress MLA from Palakkad, has been shut down as authorities prepare to record the complaint of a woman who filed a case against him, raising the likelihood of his imminent arrest.

The complaint, lodged directly with chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, was transferred to the Kerala Police's highest leadership, prompting swift action from law enforcement. The woman included digital evidence along with her allegation, and police officials indicate her statement may be recorded today.
