'Indrani did not like Sheena, Rahul's ties'

Sheena's childhood friend tells the court that relations between Sheena and Indrani were not cordial

Contradicting the claims of Vidhie Mukerjea, the star witness in the Sheena Bora murder case and the daughter of prime accused Indrani Mukerjea, the victim's childhood friend, on Thursday, told the court that relations between Indrani and Sheena were not cordial.

The former was against the latter's relationship with Rahul Mukerjea, the son of co-accused Peter Mukerjea, said Sanjana Phukan, Sheena's childhood friend from Guwahati.

Testifying as witness number 136, she referred to several emails exchanged between her and Sheena during the prosecution's examination. Phukan told the court that she was in regular touch with the victim through calls, messages and emails and that they were never out of touch for more than 15 days.
