India expanding expertise in Ocean Science, says Ambassador Vishal

Vishal V. Sharma, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to UNESCO, visited the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) here on Monday, underlining India's expanding leadership in ocean science and disaster risk reduction.

During the visit, Ambassador Sharma inspected the SynOps Lab, which provides Tsunami early warning and ocean forecasting services to India and several Indian Ocean and Pacific Island nations. He addressed INCOIS officers and reviewed presentations on the centre's expanding mandate and international outreach.
