EV revolution: Buy electric, save big

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a major incentive for electric vehicle (EV) buyers by extending the exemption on registration fees and road tax for an additional two years.

The relief now applies to vehicles purchased and registered between October 14, 2025, and October 13, 2027, providing 100% waiver on registration and road tax for all categories of pure electric vehicles. Transport Minister (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh stated that this move is aimed at reducing pollution caused by fossil fuelbased vehicles and promoting the adoption of electric mobility across the state.
