Cong acts against 43 leaders in Bihar for anti-party activities

Reeling from its humiliating defeat in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections, the Congress has initiated disciplinary action against 43 party leaders in the state for alleged anti-party activities and indiscipline.

The Congress managed to win only six of the 70 seats it contested in the elections. A majority of the leaders facing action are those who had openly revolted against senior party leadership, including Bihar Congress president Rajesh Kumar and AICC in-charge for the state, Krishna Allavaru. They had also accused the leadership of distributing election tickets in exchange for money.
