AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava released after 80 days, accuses BJP

After spending nearly two and a half months behind bars, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from _ Dediapada, Chaitar Vasava, walked out of Vadodara Central Jail on Wednesday morning to a hero's welcome from hundreds of supporters.

Granted conditional bail by the Gujarat High Court, Vasava accused the BJP leadership and police officials of framing him in a false case to silence his voice.

The scene outside Vadodara jail was charged with emotion. Supporters had gathered since early morning, raising slogans and carrying garlands. As soon as Vasava stepped out, they lifted him on their shoulders in celebration, even as police maintained heavy security to prevent any untoward incident.

Addressing the crowd shortly after his release, Vasava minced no words.
