The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Mumbai Zonal Unit, seized 2.178kg of cocaine valued at approximately Rs21.78 crore from a passenger arriving from Freetown at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).
During the examination of the baggage, packets of ‘dates’ were found. The dates inside the packets had small black pellets concealed inside, replacing the seed of the dates. White powdery substance was concealed inside these pellets. Later, a test confirmed the substance to be cocaine.
