Rana Kapoor personally made commitments to the clients without consulting key managerial personnel of the bank, alleges CBI

- Charul Shah Joshi

The CBI has alleged that former Yes Bank (YBL) MD Rana Kapoor failed to disclose a 2016 transaction between his wife Bindu Kapoor's firm and the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani (ADA) Group to the bank’s managing committee, which was considering an investment in Reliance Home Finance Ltd (RHFL).

Last month, the CBI filed a chargesheet against Kapoor, his wife Bindu, daughters Radha and Roshini, Anil Ambani, and eight firms in connection with alleged fraudulent transactions involving ADA Group’s Reliance Commercial Finance Ltd (RCFL), RHFL, and companies owned by Kapoor's family.
