Nomination starts

The nomination process for the upcoming Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in Pune district has begun, recording a modest response in terms of filed nominations during the first two days, even as the sale of nomination forms has generated significant interest among aspirants.

According to the district administration, five nomination papers have been filed for Zilla Parishad constituencies and four for Panchayat Samiti wards over the last two days. During the same period, a total of 940 nomination forms were sold for 73 Zilla Parishad groups, while 1,265 forms were sold for 146 Panchayat Samiti ganas.
