The night-time rate averages ₹8.39 per unit compared to ₹6.90 per unit during off-peak hours
KSEB has confirmed the continuation of a 25 per cent extra night-time tariff for high-use domestic consumers throughout the year, a decision that intensifies the financial strain on approximately seven lakh households using over 250 units monthly.
The "Time-of-Day" system, originally designed as a summer-only measure in April and May, was expected to lapse thereafter—yet the board has opted to maintain it year-round.
