Every notification brings a brief surge of excitement, but also an unspoken pressure to respond, stay updated, and never miss out. Over time, this constant engagement prevents the mind from truly resting.
Some mornings start with a simple glance at the phone for the time, but moments later, I'm lost in endless scrolling messages, emails, and updates I barely care about. What used to be quiet, reflective moments are now replaced by the glow of screens, stealing time for thought, presence, and calm from our daily lives. It's almost automatic now. The quiet moments that once helped us think or simply be have slowly been replaced by screen light.
