Suvendu suspended from Bengal Assembly over Army 'slur' row

A day after an Army contingent dismantled a Trinamool Congress stage erected on Defence Ministry land, sparking allegations by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that the BJP was "misusing" the armed forces, the issue flared up in the West Bengal Assembly on Tuesday.
The uproar led to the suspension of BJP Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari for the remainder of the special session.
