Delhi has introduced a groundbreaking school curriculum to nurture entrepreneurship from Class 8 onwards, preparing students to become innovators and leaders of tomorrow.

Nearly start to entrepreneurship at the school level is essential for developing the human capital needed for nation-building. It nurtures creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to think out of the box, while addressing the needs of society. Educational institutions play a crucial role in transforming formally educated scholars into a dynamic entrepre-

neurial workforce. Research shows that students exposed to entrepreneurial training are better equipped with problem-solving, leadership, and critical-thinking skills—qualities vital for both future employment and independent ventures. Global studies also confirm that early entrepreneurship education enhances students’ self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intent, preparing them for both business creation and life challenges.

The Delhi government has launched a pioneering initiative to embed an entrepreneurial mindset in students from Classes 8 to 12 through its new curriculum, NEEEV (New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision). Unveiled on 18 September 2025 by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Education Minister Ashish Sood, the reforms are designed to equip students with skills, values, and life lessons crucial for shaping the entrepreneurs and leaders of tomorrow.
