Russia and US Explore Black Sea Truce, Europe Remains Skeptical

United States of America and Russia had a dialogue to introduce truce amid ongoing Ukraine conflict in the Black Sea region.
U.S. and Russian officials convened in Saudi Arabia on Monday to negotiate a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea, aiming to establish a controlled truce before addressing broader peace agreements in Ukraine.
This follows ongoing drone strikes between Moscow and Kyiv, escalating tensions on both sides.
The discussions, which succeeded U.S.-Ukraine talks in Saudi Arabia the previous day, were prompted by Russia's continued air assaults on Kyiv, injuring civilians and damaging infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Russia claims to have intercepted 227 Ukrainian drones in the past 24 hours, with its southern Krasnodar region battling oil depot fires caused by Ukrainian attacks.
