RG Kar rape-murder case: Calcutta High Court for CBI's report on 'very nasty comments' about victim written on social media

The Calcutta High Court in the case called the Central Bureau Investigation, CBI to submit its report with regards to certain comments which were written on social media which relates to the victim in the brutal RG Kar rape-murder case involving a trainee doctor who was raped and killed in the hospital premises.

The division bench comprising of Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam and Justice Hiranmay Bhattacharya was hearing the present matter.
The bench in the case stated that. ‘Central Bureau Investigation, CBI has taken over the investigation. You i.e., CBI see if something can be done. There are some very nasty comments which are written under the picture of the victim. This court will ask for ASG to be served copies [of the plea]. CBI can examine it. This court will list the matter on September 18, 2024.’
