Rajasthan's Rich Art Forms Celebrated in Camp

The state's artistic expressions, such as miniature paintings, frescoes, mirror work, and traditional music and dance, reflect its glorious royal past and diverse cultural history. These art forms have been preserved and passed down through generations, continuing to thrive due to efforts by local artisans, cultural institutions, and heritage conservation programs.

Pratibha Nikhar Diwas was recently celebrated with enthusiasm at the City Palace in Jaipur, as part of a one-month Cultural Heritage Training Camp. The celebration gave participants the opportunity to display the traditional art skills they had learned during the camp. Present at the event were Lakshyaraj Prakash of Sirmaur and Gauravi Kumari of Jaipur. Both dignitaries interacted with the trainees and took a keen interest in the various forms of traditional art being taught and practiced during the camp. The camp was organized by the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust in association with Rangreet, an institution that promotes traditional Indian arts, and Saraswati Kala Kendra. The closing ceremony of this enriching camp is scheduled for June 20.
