PM's Kolkata rally to cap BJP's Parivartan punch
The Daily Guardian
|March 14, 2026
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kolkata on March 14, to inaugurate development projects worth Rs 18,680 crore and address a massive BJP rally at Brigade Parade Ground, marking the culmination of the party's Parivartan Yatra.
The event underscores the Bharatiya Janata Party's intensifying campaign against the ruling Trinamool Congress ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.
The Parivartan Yatra, launched on March 1 after the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, spanned nearly 10,000 km across the State, focussing on booth-level mobilization.
BJP leaders described it as a key outreach effort, with party chief Nitin Nabin stating the yatras would traverse roughly 5,000 km to carry the promise of a "new Bengal" to citizens.
