Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day address from the Red Fort on 15 August is being regarded as highly significant.
The speech is expected to prominently highlight the success of Operation Sindoor and deliver a strong message to domestic and foreign powers attempting to destabilise the government.
For the first time, a Prime Minister will incorporate suggestions from the public into the Independence Day address. Modi sought these inputs via a post on 1 August and is expected to make several new announcements for the common people. He will also become the first non-Congress Prime Minister to hoist the national flag at the Red Fort for the 12th consecutive year—a feat previously achieved only by Jawaharlal Nehru.
