Pakistani airstrikes kill 10 civilians in Afghanistan

Pakistani military forces carried out deadly aerial strikes in the eastern Afghan provinces of Khost, Kunar and Paktika around midnight, killing ten civilians — all women and children.
The bombardment has sharply escalated cross-border tensions already strained by disputes over armed groups operating along the frontier and longstanding border frictions.
According to figures released by Afghan officials, the strikes left ten people dead and ten injured across the three provinces. Khost suffered the heaviest toll, with all ten fatalities and three of the injuries reported there. Seven of those killed were female children.
