While initially, the Mahagathbandhan constituents were pitted against each other on Narkatiaganj, Sikandra, Vaishali, Sultanganj, Kahalgaon, Warsaliganj, Bachhwara, Rosera, Biharsharif, Raja Pakar and Beldaur, the Mahagathbandhan had later managed to put up a united front in Warsaliganj while in Rosera, the nomination of the CPI candidate was cancelled by the Election Commission leaving only one candidate from Mahagathbandhan in fray.

The Mahagathbandhan was locked in “friendly fights” in nine seats of Narkatiaganj, Sikandra, Vaishali, Sultanganj, Kahalgaon, Bachhwara, Biharsharif, Raja Pakar and Beldaur, all of which have been won by the NDA constituents.

Of these, five seats went to the JD (U) while the BJP and the Hindustani Awam Morcha (S) got three and one seat respectively. While the JD (U) won the Vaishali, Sultanganj, Kahalgaon, Raja Pakar and Beldaur seats, the BJP won from Bachhwara, Biharsharif and Narkatiaganj seats. The HAMS won the Sikandra seat.
