On the day when the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls kicked off in West Bengal, Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee led a massive rally through the heart of Kolkata, protesting against the ongoing SIR.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Election Commission of India (ECI) of carrying out what she called a “silent, invisible rigging” under the guise of verifying voter lists.
