Kremlin Ready for Third Round of Negotiations With Kyiv

Russia has expressed readiness to resume direct peace negotiations with Ukraine, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stating that Moscow is awaiting concrete proposals from Kyiv to move ahead with a third round of talks.

The statement comes amidst a continuing military standoff and growing international frustration over the lack of progress in resolving the prolonged conflict.

In a briefing reported by Russian state-affiliated outlet MIC Izvestia, Peskov said, "It's obvious that Kyiv is in no hurry. We are still awaiting proposals on deadlines. The Russian side is ready to continue and to hold the third round."

The remarks emphasize Russia's stated willingness to return to diplomatic channels, even as battlefield conditions remain volatile.

Peskov, speaking at a routine press conference, reiterated that Russia prefers a political-diplomatic solution to the conflict and is open to resuming peace efforts should Ukraine provide clear signals indicating its readiness for direct dialogue.
