Indian Army leads rescue ops after devastating cloudburst in Uttarakhand

In the wake of a devastating cloudburst near Dharali, close to Harsil in Uttarakhand, the Indian Army has launched a swift and coordinated Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operation, with over 225 personnel on the ground for search, rescue, and relief.
As of 3 pm on Wednesday, the Indian Army confirmed three fatalities, with more than 50 people reportedly missing, according to the civil administration. Among the missing are nine Army personnel, including one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and eight jawans.
