In a first in India, Haryana guarantees MSP on 24 crops

Amid the ongoing protest in Punjab for guaranteed minimum support prices, BJP-led Haryana government has issued a notification to procure all the 24 crops of state farmers on MSP.
With the notification Haryana has become the first state in the country to ensure the procurement of all 24 crops at the MSP set by the Union government.
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has issued a notification to procure 24 crops from farmers in the state at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
The government claimed that the decision aims to ensure fair prices for farmers' produce.
